FANTOCCINI (Marionettes)
Idea and Concept
Hello! We are excited to present our most creative project – "Fantoccini" (Marionettes). This project was filmed at night in an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Kyiv. Our goal was to create something unique and captivating that would make viewers reflect on the societal constraints imposed upon them.
Work process
- Locations: We chose an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Kyiv, which added a special atmosphere and intrigue to the shoot. Filming at night heightened the dramatic effect.
- Team: A team of 20 people worked on the shoot, each contributing their unique skills to this creative process.
- Preparation: We spent a month preparing the choreography, enabling dancers to move while suspended in shibari ropes, creating unique and impressive scenes.
- Equipment Used: We spent about $3,000 on equipment to light up the entire location and achieve the desired effect.
- Challenges: The main challenge was organizing the night shoots in such a location, ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants.
